Belgian waffles with fresh, fruit, syrup & honey.

A simple Belgian waffle recipe to create sweet and fluffy waffles. Top with your favorite fruits, syrup or honey for a real treat. Ready in 15 minutes or less.

Belgian waffles with fresh fruit, syrup & honey.
Ingredients
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 2 large eggs, separated
  • 1.5 cups milk
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • handful of fresh blueberries. raspberries, strawberries, or blackberries
  • honey or syrup
Instructions
  1. Separate eggs placing yolks in one bowl and egg whites on another bowl. Beat egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  2. In a separate bowl, combine flour, sugar and baking powder.
  3. In the third bowl, lightly beat egg yolks. Add milk, melted butter and vanilla extract; mix well. Stir into dry ingredients just until combined. Fold into combined batter.
  4. Baked in preheated waffle iron according to manufacturer directions or until golden brown
  5. Fold in beaten egg whites.
